Deserves the title of the highest grossing animated film of all time. This was an epic experience. The story was engaging, the animation delivers some massive action scenes and there were actual character development from the cast. Good guys are bad. Bad guys are good. I love when a narrative tricks the audience of who becomes good or who becomes bad. It’s just a bunch of morals, demons and Demi Gods battle against the Chinese gods, who are complete assholes. I’m already invested into this franchise and excited to see what comes in the sequel. Chinese cinema took a win for animation.

Ne Zha 2019
American mainstream animation has a competition with this one. I was invested in the lore behind this film when it comes to Chinese mythology. Ne Zha is basically Vegeta. Really got invested in all these characters including the comedic relief. The animation goes hard when it comes to the action scenes. Besides the annoying fart jokes, this is a fun one to watch for Kung Fu Panda fans.
