  This film was beautiful in both its cinematography but also in the way it chose to communicate the hardships that were endured at this time. I believe every person should watch this in order to better understand how things actually were. This was so hard to watch but it changed my worldview. I absolutely admire how they chose to handle portraying the passage of time in this film, I expected the 12 years to drag on but instead the time…
