  I wanted to like this. I trusted the reviews over the PG-13 kiss of death. I shouldn't have.

  I was so bored throughout. The setting and atmosphere are there, but the characters are all idiots with no sense of self-preservation so I couldn't bring myself to care about what happened to them, and the monsters were just real silly. I got nothing from watching this. Any tension there might've been was gone because I was just so completely checked out. Vapid thriller with dull jumpscares and cardboard characters and weak world building. Bleh.
