“The irony of a black police officer” ahh movie
This movie definitely did Sam Wilson justice. At first I was a little worried that this was going to be more US military propaganda, and maybe it was in a way I missed. Overall though, I think this movie heavily critiqued the US government/ military and referenced the injustices of the criminal justice system.
Love how they brought back winter soldier and made the president a shitty white guy.

This movie was so unseriously funny and absurd, I loved it. I feel like there isn’t much fantastical sci-fi black media outside of Jordan Peele, atleast not to this level.
The isolation of black communities as a result of the US’ refusal to fund much needed welfare, but rather funding systems that keep Black people static, was taken to the extreme in this movie (Runoff sentence idc). Political involvement in the harm done…

Spawn 1997
Film critics will see some bad cgi and a farting character and say the movie is garbage, but this is a devastating, modern, gothic, superhero movie that you don’t get outside of this movie. This is like Deadpool if they actually gave the character depth and made the world building interesting. Yall mad and for what 🙄
