Who knew a movie about a debate lord atheist would be so noncommittal? Everyone, except the debate lord atheists who wrote it, apparently.
The ending is visible from 10,000 ft. The movie falls apart after its climactic moment and I never once was scared of Hugh Grant. That man is a sweetheart and I won’t be convinced otherwise by a dumb movie.

The legacy entries in the Scream franchise love the Scream movies. That’s what puts them head and shoulders above the other legacy sequels we’ve gotten in the last few years.
They use the iconography in incredible ways. They poke fun at the franchise. They poke fun at the genre. They poke fun at their very existence.
They’re also just really fuckin’ awesome. The cold open is really great, both in its classic form and it’s subversion of it.

You can come for Damon, and Driver, and Affleck, but it’s the stunning take down of toxic masculinity and examination of a woman caught in the crossfire that make this movie great. Patriarchy has always failed women. Never is that more clear than in this film. BELIEVE WOMEN.
