I like Bong Joon-Ho’s work: a blend of genre, humor, and social commentary.
This movie has some interesting elements and the occasional chuckle, but unfortunately, I think it has dated itself and limited its imaginative scope by its use of more obvious references/caricatures to modern American politics.

A writer’s movie: comically meta, story-within-a-story.
It was mostly enjoyable despite the gross age difference and unbalanced power dynamic.
For a movie with so much action, it was really boring.
Also, Amelia’s instalove for Larry was pretty ridiculous and felt a bit disrespectful for such an important historical figure.
