Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead: The Story of the National Lampoon 2015
devastating and hilarious. It makes me long for print humor, but I can’t imagine what that’d look like now. maybe one day we’ll see a return to the form and I hope I can be part of it. even with its flaws the lampoon is nothing short of comedy as we know it.

the perfect soundtrack for a 70s romance (right down to the diegetic radio tracks and nothing drives me crazier than the July tree needle drop), two stars at their—hopefully not, but would it honestly be so bad if it were?—cinematic peak, the typical beauty of a PTA film. so perfect in every way. god I love this film and how quotable it is despite the cocked heads and confused faces I constantly get. Crossing Delancey 1988
Not nearly neurotic enough of a film for my taste. It’s New York after all! I greatly appreciated the portrayal of growing out of your New York neighborhood and the elitism and pretension that goes against your nature, but feels necessary to not sleep in a twin bed. I’ve never seen Delancey in such a “townie” light. It’s got a good The Heartbreak Kid kick to it, but it melts your heart.
