Sleek, moody, and immediately engrossing. Sometimes you don’t need a grand sweeping heist to make an edge of your seat thriller—just a dinner party with some truth serum. I loved the performances and the way all of these characters were so intertwined with each other. And all at a brisk 90 minutes? What can I say, I like ‘em tight? 4 out of 5 handages

Sweet, funny, and affecting, just like Pixar movies should be. But also with a little edge and a very specific point of view that gives this a wonderfully distinct flavor. I loved how much grey area there was to our main characters and the messages it sent to both parents and children alike. Also, impressed by how many ways they made Red meaningful to the story and our characters. Delightful. 4town out of 5

Lots of blood and mayhem and a bunch of super fun characters… what more could you ask for from a vampire ballerina movie? Except maybe to get to the vampire ballerina zaniness sooner, because I felt like the movie was trying to hide the vampire ballerina for the first 40 minutes or so. Not that it wasn’t interesting (like I said, these characters are a hoot), but I think it’ll play better on a rewatch or to someone who hasn’t…

What a blast. It was twisty, it was funny, and best of all it was legit scary. Maybe it was being in a crowd of rowdy people, but this movie got people going! It built some really great suspense and knew how to burrow under your skin to make you cringe and shudder in anticipation. A fun time at the movies. 4.5 slow tent zippers out of 5
