Celine Song tells this story with such patience, letting every moment breathe, trusting the weight of a glance or an unfinished thought to say what words can’t. Ugh I love this film…and I totally get why this is one of Martin Scorsese’s favorites. I first watched it when I was little during a movie night with my grandparents, and it’s stuck with me ever since.
