It’s killing me that the chosen indicator of time period is Florence pughs bangs. I didn’t think that the non-chronology really did anything to serve the story honestly.
the dialogue was crazy like “a penny in the heteronormative pond” & im supposed to watch with a straight face……… the only really good parts (and there were some, obviously we have 2 really good actors) were when there was silence. I feel like the intent was realism but it reads like a fanfic.

The zeitgeist, flashy camp visuals, and cool costuming had me viewing this movie through rose colored glasses for a moment, but this is a marketing scheme so Mattel can sell more Barbie products.
