I was incredibly disappointed with Saltburn. I was positively anticipating it, because I really loved Emerald Fennell’s “Promising Young Woman” and I expected Saltburn to be another banger from her, which I thought we were getting during the first half and second half of the film. The protagonist, Mia, is so full of rage that she can’t maintain positive relationships with people. She struggles to connect and a lot of that is due to her fear of rejection.
