  I am pretty much vehemently opposed to movies about cancer because my partner is battling cancer, and the stories hit too close to home. Babyteeth is my rare exception. In fact, I found myself constantly hitting rewind to soak in scenes over and over again. Shannon Murphy creates a world you don't want to step out of.

  This one instantly charms with its well-executed fourth-wall-breaking narration. The shooting style is what I got out of the film, and it's pretty perfect. DP Sacha Vierny shoots through windows (sometimes taking the shot inside, other times not), and it gives the viewer an apt sense of voyeurism.
