watched the screening for this with a director qna, was very lovely. i have to say the themes of cultural ache and strained relationship between mother and daughter rllyyy hit too close to home. i appreciate this film for being an accurate portrayal of the sentiments of martial law babies in the philippines, i almost sobbed watching this film thinking abt my mother. The resentment and yearning for something that never existed, yet being unaware of these feelings around u. i felt similarly as a child
