Boy Kills World 2023
My opinion for this was all over the map. Exacerbated by me watching it over 4 sittings as I watched it on a stationary bike.
It’s a bit much, but it’s got style, it’s got a reveal that seems obvious, but another that I missed.
I love Jon Benjamin, but his dialogue is not funny enough. So I’d rather they had a less comedic monologue.
But by the end, I landed on liking this. Quite a bit actually. It’s nihilistic and violent. But the style made me ok with it all.Translated from by -
We Beat the Dream Team 2025
Thoughts I had: college sports should have an all star game in April. They’d actually try as it might affect their draft status.
I had watched the dream team doc so I kept waiting for the “it was rigged” story.
Hurley was very fun.
Webber was the best interview.
Better than the win was the Dream winning by 50 the next day.
Jordan asking “who had 8?” Was great.

The Marvels 2023
I liked this, but not as much as Captain Marvel. Some emotional bits felt unearned. Some emotional bits worked.
I think Monica’s arc got short shrift so her later beats don’t land like they should.
It’s silly. Too silly at times. It works better as a Ms Marvel sequel than a Captain Marvel sequel.
I think Brie Larsen is great in this (and was great in the first one too. )
Nothing next level good here, but that shouldn’t be a problem. Just enjoy movies folks. It’s easier and more fun.
