According to Letterboxd, this is the 1,500th film I've ever watched. And what a beautiful choice it turned out to be. I love Ozu's portrayal of the mundane. His calm observations of human behavior. And the simple emotions he expresses, so subtly conveying the joys and sorrows of everyday life.

Jupiter Ascending 2015
For all the space opera silliness going on (which, I admit, I love), Jupiter Ascending is a fantastic and fantastical. There isn’t quite the visual iconic perfection of the Matrix trilogy or Speed Racer going on here, but the atmosphere, world-building, rich aesthetic design, kinetic visuals, and the strong, sincere, character-based storytelling make for an excellent film.
