Lost Highway 1997
First time watching. Weirder than Blue Velvet, more accessible than Mulholland Drive (although that is up to discussion).
Knowing that Lynch was influenced by the OJ murder trial feels like the skeleton key to unlocking this one’s secrets. Ultimates a film about the narratives and personas we create to allow ourselves to live with the horrors we invoke on others.
Robert Blake just showed up on set when cameras were rolling.

A lot of interesting ideas that don’t fully come together in the end.
