How the West Was Won 1962
Wow, 3-camera Cinerama technology, we hardly knew ye... Obviously never saw this as it was intended (in a proper 3 screen Cinerama theatre) but nevertheless at times truly feels like your tv is a window into the film's world.

The Last Duel 2021
The climactic titular duel is worth the price of admission alone. Visceral, bone-crunching Ridley Scott at his best. The rest of the movie is pretty great too. Centers on a brutal sexual assault but the narrative is shrowded by the pettiness of male egos and the endless hypocrisy of the catholic church. I'm a little sad this didn't do better in the box office, because I fear movies like this just won't get made in the future. This has to be the biggest budget period dark comedy ever made right? It's crazy this exists. Also, Ben Affleck wtf this is what we've all been waiting for
