The Brutalist 2024
A movie claims to be about an “immigrant architect” ends up has nearly nothing to do with architecture, let alone being a side project for propaganda. If it is a movie about “immigrants”, then it does poorly so, and only does so as to justify another settler state.
Great cinematography, with lots of homage to other masters (and so homage to the history of cinema), but they are only so nice taking these scenes individually. Some may incorporate deeper layers…
