  A Man Escaped 1956

  The second ⅓ of the film could've been a bit shorter, but, overall, it's almost miraculous how a film can operate successfully at this level, despite trying so little (For reference, It is 23 years older than Escape from Alcatraz, yet, it feels less aged).
  Probably the most entertaining Bresson (up to now) and it is far different than any other "prison movie" I've watched.

  It was still good, but I think it could be 20 minutes shorter.
  One thing I really disliked was the coffee scene, in which a voiceover (Tarantino himself) was used in order to creat suspense. I understand the intention, but it is inconsistent with the rest of the movie.
  He did the same thing in "Once upon..." with DiCaprio's driving problem.
