Down With Love is a brilliant satire that both pokes fun at the tropes of 1960s romantic comedies while celebrating the genre and style of these films at the same time. Nosferatu 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Pillow Talk 1959
As what possibly should be expected with a 1950s romantic comedy, the gender dynamics are very outdated, and the film’s final sequence was pretty off-putting. That being said, Pillow Talk has a witty script with jokes that still hold up today and is beautifully shot and directed. Yes, there are themes here that will remind you that this was made in the 50s, but there is a lot here that feels ahead of its time.
