    Very much a comment on the depravity of the wealthy, which is especially poignant given the Trumps, Musks, and Zuckerbergs of the world. Millions of people look up to these guys as heroes, while prostitutes/sex workers, who are typically victims of abuse and objectification, are seen as the real moral wrong in society.

    As what possibly should be expected with a 1950s romantic comedy, the gender dynamics are very outdated, and the film’s final sequence was pretty off-putting. That being said, Pillow Talk has a witty script with jokes that still hold up today and is beautifully shot and directed. Yes, there are themes here that will remind you that this was made in the 50s, but there is a lot here that feels ahead of its time.
