Heart Eyes 2025
Kinda of a pleasant surprise. A great conceit, some phenomenal horror moments and... FUNNY? I wouldn't have seen "Meet-Cute Slasher" on the 2025 Bingo card, but here we are. If the mean-spirited bloodbath of Terrifier isn't your bag, but you still want some gruesome (entry-level) terror, this works surprisingly well.

This might be unintentionally (or intentionally, you can never tell with Korine) portrait of America in the 2000’s: it’s not nearly as smart, subtle, or subversive as it thinks it is. Y'know, like *cough* 'Murica.
But even at its most grim and debaucherous moments, it looks and moves like an electric candyland music video nightmare as a further exploitation that were a nation of style over substance.
Cuz none of us want Shakespeare, we want our fucking Taco Bell.
