That’s a line from Dir. David Bruckner’s fantastic ‘Amatuer Night’ short film in the anthology flick V/H/S . It also doubles up as my opinion on The Night House. Fortunately for me, I did not get torn to pieces by a succubus unlike the characters in the aforementioned scarefest. The Empty Man 2020
Some films choose to radically switch their direction or even genre at around the halfway point. The Empty Man does this on about 4-5 occasions throughout its runtime.
That's not to say The Empty Man is an anthology. Rather, one cohesive thread is neatly woven throughout the various explorations of Horror sub-genres.
