decent slow burn engaging drama. the story was a bit scattered. good cinematography. Reminds me of Goodfellas but lacks energy. Kind of disappointed in the lack of retaliation. I wish i would have seen the newer members get their ass handed to them when they beat up Bug or tried to rape Kathy. Even the kid that bring the gun to a knife fight, I wanted to see him die too. A horrible death.

Great insight into racism outside of the perspective of the white community. Gook is a racially charged film based the racial tension that was going on during the 1992 South Central Los Angeles. The suffering that the community was feeling during the verdict of Rodney King and the LAPD.
