This is the kind of experimental gore flick I've always sought after. My first James Bell film, but certainly not my last. It's transgressive, it's mind-fucky (literally), music that hypnotically sucks you in, and some of the best experimental underground horror you could consume.

#ReleasetheBrightCut
I'm not to sure what to think of this. On one hand, it's offensive, funny for all the wrong reasons, & is clearly edited by someone the producers of "COPS" would pick for the job. On the other hand, McConaughey screaming "I'm a dwarf!" was peak cinema. Fuck it, 5 stars.Translated from by

Texas Chainsaw 3D 2013
There's a scene where Alexandra DDD is supposed to be climbing into a coffin. When suddenly, there's a hard cut, she disappears, and some unknown source shuts the coffin. This leads me to believe that DDD wouldn't get into the coffin. So some PA probably hid in the coffin, closing it out of site. Where's the commitment to the craft DDD?
I could see someone saying this is so bad it's good, as it's unintentionally hilarious at times. However, it's just too fucking bad.Translated from by -
Leatherface 2017
How did they all fit into that cow?
It's got gore & crazy shit happening sometimes, otherwise it's kinda uninteresting. If this wasn't a Texas Chainsaw based movie, you might of had some interesting hillbilly horror. Trying to have, yet another, origin story feels unnecessary. Leatherface was already the amalgamation of famed serial killers & trying to make us sympathize with him feels silly.Translated from by

Horror in the High Desert 2021
There were some good ideas here, but overall is a disappointment. I was barely clinging onto the intrigue, and then the "big" payoff. Kinda lame. I'm fairly understanding when it comes to found footage/mockumentary, but there are very few redeeming qualities to take away here.

V/H/S/94 2021
Found footage sure has come a long way, eh? I'm sure Deodato had no idea that a part of his film would go on to inspire an entire subgenre of horror; much less a franchise of found footage films. V/H/S made a huge splash on the scene. Streaming movies had become accessible to almost everyone, & found footage was highly marketable. Although of mixed opinions, the film went on to not only bolster the careers of Simon Barrett & Adam Wingard, it…
