Today I found out that Martin Scorsese paid homage to this classic in the ending of Goodfellas when Tommy DeViton shoots into the camera. Very cool
A unique gem of cinema. There's no real plot here and I'm not even sure how to interpret most of it. So I think it's best to approach it as a sort of visual poem. It's truly an 'every frame is a painting' kind of film. Rich with stunning abstract imagery and masterful compositions, it's hard not to feel moved by it in some way even if confounded by its meaning. There's also something so vivid and ethereal about the saturation and hues of colours. I can see why it's regarded as a masterpiece and I'm sure my appreciation for this will only grow with time.

I went into Joker: Folie a Deux trying to keep as open a mind as possible but definitely expecting I'd hate it.
