  Everything about this was done very well; looked great, nice performances, retro style nailed on, vintage type effects lovely, but just too minimal for me, very very little happens. Feels like exactly what it is - a good director’s early work.

  If this was about film making alone I’d give it a higher rating, it looks incredible, sounds great and JP is obviously fantastic. I can’t deny I was completely glued to it. But it’s not original (as all have said before - king of comedy, taxi driver) and it’s problematic as hell, many many people have articulated everything that’s necessary to say. I’m glad I’ve seen it though.
