I make movies. None of them are as good as the ones I watch.

This was a great time. It had a lot of style but I felt it lacked a little bit of substance to really resonate with me. I expected it to be more disgusting than it ended up being, so unfortunately my expectations were a bit too high. Loved the final shot and it left me slightly optimistic, but I'm not sure if that was the intention.

Lastly, I loved how the film transitioned from over the top sexual gratuity to over the top gore and violence. Overall an enjoyable ride, but a little too heavy-handed and ultimately empty for me to truly love it.

Very good film with some strong performances. I enjoyed how the director gave the actors space and handled scenes with patience, but I wish there was a bit more style or grit that made it resonate better with me.

If anything, this movie showed me how empty the previous Bond movies were.

    Wonderful film.

I love me a good mob movie. Like love, love, love.
Man, Al Pacino is incredible in this. His scene near the end of the movie, you know the one, broke my heart.
Some mob movies make it seem like being a mobster is a glamorous thing. But this and Goodfellas makes it seem like the most terrifying thing ever.

Back to Pacino though. That's two recent movies I've seen with him where his last scene really hit me. He's a great actor.
