Funny, historical take on the turmoil and utter terror all people felt in the soviet union. Until Khrushchev gets near equal appeals from the committee against Beria, each is silent on their true feelings and allegiances post stalins death.

Also found out that people like Malenkov and Molotov actually lived until near the end of the Soviet Union, being expelled from politics/Moscow but not from life like previous administrations.

    Pam Grier wasn't Christie Love.

Great cuts to all the characters and the disjointedness and absence of the job on the jewelry store really gets the mystery of the rat and the crazed dynamics of the crew out to the audience. Still best scene is the cold open at the diner where Buschemi refuses to tip $1.

Great one, definitely one of the best Ghibli films along with Spirited Away. OST and variations on "Merry-Go-Round of Life" make it one of the best animated movie soundtracks. Use of animation/character model changes to show how the curse changes is great visual storytelling.

Pretty funny and fitting of the show/characters. Like an 1hr 45min episode of the show. The music is decent for a movie like this but definitely watch more for the comedy and plot. The animation (since its a movie) is done way more fluidly than the show, making the characters look pretty strange in their movements sometimes compared to the TV shows animation.
