Considering when it was made I was pretty impressed that this managed to be genuinely funny and tension-inducing. Special shoutout to the actor who played the President of the United States, a British soldier, and a disabled Nazi.

Only gets docked half a star because it didn’t always feel as tight and other Tarantino films but most of this was incredible. Pretty much every performance was great, with Pitt and especially Waltz as the main standouts. Has there ever been a cooler ending than a bunch of Nazis burning up while getting shot by Eli Roth?

“‘I’m not having fun anymore’ -Odell Beckham Jr.” -me during the last 15 minutes of this movie

Highlights include the dad, the unique premise, and Lucy Liu’s performance in the ending. It took a while to figure out what was going on and it being marketed as a horror was definitely misleading, but this ended up being a pretty inventive and (mostly) fun watch.

Gripping and tragic depiction of war through a child’s eyes. It also has Fat Marco.
