Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story 1987
Watched this 2 days ago but wasn’t able to collect my thoughts, which I’ve come no closer to doing. I adore this film, and it certainly makes me think a lot, but I honestly struggle to verbalize what makes this film great. Will require a rewatch (or 100)

A very dark, inaccessible film. For most of the runtime, we are shown in excruciating detail the mundanity of life, only for that mundanity to slowly crumble into violence. Even the scenes of regular life have this sense of foreboding, and this dread is amplified as the family tears their life up. I still have a lot of thoughts on this movie, making me feel like I just don’t have a great handle on it
