perfect movie for date night!
not much i can say about this film… beside that i am just so stunned and rarely am able to fall in love with a film, but i truly am in love with audition. i give each and every one of my flowers to takashi miike, ryo ishibashi, and especially to eihi shiina, who just completely stole the show.
shiina’s acting was completely mesmerizing, and her character of asami lures you in from the moment…
i used to think ppl were joking when they would say this film was really great, or say this was their fave movie. but honestly??? this was one of the best viewing experiences i have ever had 😭 first of all, the graphics and animation were so beautiful. i was genuinely stunned and in awe by how great they are. the story was so great too. the only reason i knocked it down half a star is because of the third wall break. i thought it was really stupid and would have preferred without it, but whatever. still really loved this one.
