  Hadnt seen this since it was in theaters 10 years ago and it was like watching it for the first time. In my mind, up there with only Titanic and Lord of the Rings as blockbusters so tangible while being so incredibly massive in scope. Also like those (but to a lesser extent) in that the movie is still grounded in some endearing characters. Matthew is so good. Always thought I could take or leave this one but I’ve changed my mind: probably my favorite Nolan and definitely a classic.

  Gently devastating. Those last 30 minutes or so are something special. I love how it captures the nuance and random chance of relationships without treating them as trivial or interchangeable. The momentum kinda sagged at points for me, but ultimately built to a tender climax that I’ll be thinking about for some time
