  The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! 1988

  The second 80s movie I watched this week where Ricardo Montalban plays a villain who uses mind control and gets really shocked when he finds out his attempt on the hero’s life fails.

  I grew up with this series and this one still holds up. Every rewatch helps you find another gag you missed the last time.

  The Marvels 2023

  (Note: have not watched Ms. Marvel or finished Secret Invasion).

  This was really entertaining. Lots of laughs and cool moments. HOWEVER, the more you think about some of the sci fi elements, the less it makes sense. 

  Imani Vellani stole the show, and rightfully so. Brie Larson phoned it in (which is a shame, because this movie actually adds some depth to her character). Nick Fury is once again reduced to “Samuel L. Jackson Cracking Jokes.” The villain was extremely underdeveloped…

  Blows my mind that a 15 year old kid made this. Tense and eerie with brilliant visuals. The director has a bright future ahead of him!
