rewatched X and Pearl back to back before watching this and the themes all tied together so well
I was afraid something would lead Maxine to fail and spiral like pearl did. I wish we could’ve seen a bit more of Maxine’s life growing up, her straying from her religious upbringing, leaving to pursue stardom, and what made her so much more successful than pearl
On its own it might get a 3 1/2 but I love the way it tied the 3 movies together so I give 4
