Charming, breezy and fun.

The last line, omg, I burst into tears.

I think I love this film more every time I see it, mostly because, I think, of Midhun Manuel Thomas's writing. The whole female gaze, turning relationships on their heads, and all the little movie references (mostly Malayalam, like Spadikam and Niram, but also some Hindi references, as well as a nod to Shaktimaan) just make it a joy to watch.

It helps to have a passing knowledge of Infernal Affairs, Election, and some Hong Kong politics, but mostly a fun and occasionally odd parody of HK triad films.
