Holy Ghost People 2013
Beautifully shot and acted, but would have been more impactful as a mini tv series as the latter half of the film felt rushed and confusing. I found myself feeling more and more detached from the characters as the film went on (instead of the other way around) and would have liked for them to flesh everything out a bit more. A very aesthetically pleasing film, but it leaves a lot to be desired, and in my opinion would be better either as a book or (as I said above) a tv series.

This is a pretty average film all in all, with just the amount of action/fighting scenes, touching friendships and (forbidden) romance you'd expect from this genre; possibly made better by the time and setting. Though it might just be me- swords beat guns every time.
In addition to the ~dramatic plot, there is also, of course, Mount Vesuvius, without whom the movie probably would have been a great deal more boring. I managed to stay entertained throughout the whole thing,…
