Gladiator II 2024
Not bad or disappointing..but made me realise that there is a decline in writing ability in modern films.There is a clear lack of depth in character building. Mescal's character lacks coherent traits and arc heavily relying on fabricated speeches and superficial gravitas.
Pedro Pascal, the man is talented give him something to do, he is pushing a non existent arc.
The plot is very thin. Leaving me wanting more, begging at the screen "please go somewhere with this!!"
