  Mario Bava directs the fuck out of this film. So many fantastic shots and beautiful long takes. A definite mood film, and one I wish I could see on a huge screen.

  I enjoyed the fatalities. That's about it. Script made me cringe so many times. I agree with people saying it's basically an ad for the sequels.

  This also felt like it was working with a fairly constrained budget. So maybe a follow up can deliver an actual tournament and something that feels a bit more grand.
