Even though this released back in 2023 this movie looks and feels like if you told AI to make a ripoff of Spirited Away but make it CG and ocean themed. Lacks cohesion, direction, and is hard to look at.

Kung Fu Panda 4 2024
As a standalone film I might give this a 3.4 or 3.6 The jokes were funny and I appreciate the lion king references. The story still doesn't quite work for me despite them having gone back reworking a portion of the movie.
Unfortunately this is #4 of a series of movies and it just felt disjointed from the rest. It was like Dreamworks suddenly decided that they had to make a fourth movie, right now, no matter what, so someone came up with a random story involving Po.

The animation is better and more expressive than in The Lion King which was good......
Otherwise, they decided to ignore the lore set up by The Lion Guard and write whatever they want and they successfully....wrote taka. It was both bad and boring. One big issue is that Taka/Scar is suppose to be cunning but you don't get a sense of that at all, instead he's just a little bitch.
The songs suck, more than one are just downright bad.…
