The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo 2009
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
What I least expected about The Girl with the Dragon was that it would essentially be a episode of Morse with more brutal sadism and rape, with the wife-beating husband from Lukas Moodysson's Together as 'Morse'. Elicited the same response as an episode of Morse too - good enough to watch, but I won't go out of my way to see the others, and I certainly won't be pulling any of the novels out of my bag on the bus anytime soon.
