the physical media addiction is bad.
i genuinely like this film. i think it has a very unique concept to me, obviously with the monsters using the energy from screaming to power their city. but i felt something “missing” from this film, i can’t explain it. i might just be biased from other pixar projects.
the ending made me cry.

sure, i believe part of it is based on nostalgia. but honestly, this disney project is one of their best modern projects.
super innovative, new software had to be developed to render the millions of strands of rapunzels several feet long hair. flynn ryder, a character born by the writers and other womens “ideal perfect man” and he is a cutie patootie.

asides from that, its a very fun film, filled with some very concerning moments (marty and his mother cough cough) and a mad scientist.
the delorean and the flux capacitor are cultural icons and there is no doubt that this film influenced many in the 80’s.
overall, better than 90% of the family friendly films produced post 2000.
