    Amaran is an especially disappointing letdown of a film that calls itself a "biopic" but unabashedly twists real life events to push clear and firm pro-army, pro-coloniser, and pro-war sentiments.

    The Creator offers fairly thought out world building and even manages to allegorise the effects of colonial/western powers over the colonised/eastern ones.

    However, the story itself seems to be severely diluted by several plot conveniences and its one-dimensional characters. I found myself so enthralled by the world that was presented around me just for that very immersion to be broken several times due to the plot's shortcomings.
