The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2023
A splendid watch! I’m more of a Zelda guy myself, but the multiple references to the Mario games of my childhood were nice dollops of nostalgia.
I’m not generally a fan of books (or games) being made into movies since I find them unoriginal and uninspiring, but I thought the plot was original and engaging. That being said, if Mario was real, he wouldn’t live in Brooklyn, seriously? Dude reeks of Coney Island.
Chris Pratt’s voice acting as Mario was masterful. Shailene Woodley should’ve been taking notes on how to correctly do a passing Italian accent.
