I thought this was strictly okay. The movie offers no insight into Bob Dylan or what makes him tick--zero interiority. If you knew absolutely nothing about this artist, you'd find this depiction of him pretty grating. Chalamet good, but definitely not let's-make-him-the-youngest-best-actor-oscar-winner good.

Absolutely stunning. Got a chance to re-watch it on the best IMAX screen in the city when it re-released. It had been a while since I had returned to Nolan's apparently most divisive work. And this time, the "love" angle didn't annoy me as much as it had on my very first watch. Maybe it's because I've got olden and less cynical (highly unlikely) or maybe I was just more focused on the beauty of the movie and all the excellent craft that went into it. Either way, holds up so, so well.
