Ayo bump Sherry! She was NOT worth saving. Silly and gets a bit tooo far towards the end. Quad vs Nicholson was just enjoyable as a film fan. The cinematic shots do not make up for the weak story. If you go in with low expectations you might not be disappointed. It’s a good time…turn off your brain.

Not quite the movie I thought this was gonna be. Although still a decent film with its commentary and humor. Mark Ruffalo is a good time for a silly antagonist. Naomi is great is all her scenes. Robert Patty plays a good range. After invincible, it’s always nice to see Steven Yeun.
There’s some story logic I could debate. The final landing has a few bumps. Other small knit picks but overall a good time.

From a satirical POV, this is pure gold. I laughed way more than I thought I would. Very enjoyable amongst a live Black audience at the American Black Film Festival! The on screen chemistry and dynamic between Teyonah and Foxx is rich and one of the best things about this films.

Predictable, silly, long…but what else would you expect from a musical? While having it’s annoying break outs of sing songy dialogue, the film managed to shine; showcasing a voice not to commonly heard, especially when it comes to film.
With vivid color, anthemic sound, and shocking star power I was blown away by this film. I was underwhelmed by the only minor usage of Lin Manuel Miranda…however the story isn’t about him, so this isn’t a plus or minus, just a surprise on my end.
