Lady Bird 2017
I watched this years ago and didn’t understand it, but rewatching as an adult makes me realize this is maybe a perfect movie. Absolutely hilarious and I felt incredibly moved from start to finish, I could cry just writing this review.

If you liked this movie at all you’d love the book. Cillian Murphy is unbelievable as always but the book offers so much of Billy’s internal dialogue that gives a lighter, more triumphant tone to the story. We also see more of his relationship to and adoration of his family in the book, which I think adds more depth to his character.
