This is a really good 70s crime film involving Harlem, The Mob, A Robbery & The Cops.

We get a fantastic opening as the mob are robbed by three males from Harlem which goes horrifically wrong as all the mafia involved are gunned down. What follow is the three robbers trying to go about their life as the ruthless mafia enforcer charged with finding them & 2 outspoken yet feuding cops close in on them.

The French Connection is a near masterpiece in 70s crime cinema.

Yes its aged slightly & has derogatory language that was deemed appropriate at the time, but its a gritty piece of cinema that stands as a great cop film with a fantastic performance from Hackman (RIP).

We get bad language, chases, violence & shootouts.

The sniper scene leading to the train/car chase is exceptional. The subway scene is also a great tense piece of cinema & the final shootout is violent & epic…

Mads is a very well made French Horror film. Its all done in one take with probably sum camera trickery to hide the cuts & stalls from action, but ud…

This is a series that I continue to watch every year when its produced on Shudder. I’m not a huge fan of the series, but I do enjoy it.

This release opens extremely strong. The opening segment was my favourite out of all the stories here. Its like Resident Evil on steroids. We get balls to the wall action with that odd bit of strangeness added to the mix.

The issue for me is that after the 1st segment, the…
