  The movie is really bad, but there is a lot of live footage of Richard Hell and the Voidoids in their prime. I recently read Hell’s autobiography and he said the live scenes were filmed right after the band came back from a month long UK tour and that the footage was the best the band was. That definitely shows on the film so I recommend it for fans of the band.

  Nobody is paying me to do a full review so I’m just going to mention three quick things. 

  1. The score was phenomenal throughout. This was especially so in the testing scene and the concluding scene, but it was consistently additive and excellent. And I’m not someone who notices that sort of thing usually. 

  2. The framing devices used throughout were intriguing and made the movie so much more engaging than a sequential biopic.  

  3. The sunscreen bit was hilarious.
