"I think that I like TV shows. When I think about that stuff, it feels like someone took a shovel and dug out all my insides. And I know there’s nothing in there, but I’m still too nervous to open myself up and check. I know there’s something wrong with me. My parents know it too, even if they don’t say anything. Do you ever feel like that?”
"I don’t know. Maybe you’re like Isabel. Afraid of what’s inside you.”

"Maybe you’re planning to murder me, right here, tonight?”
    "Shall I?”
    "Please do.”

Glorious in 70mm and features maybe the horniest shit ever put to film.

"This whole world is wild at heart and weird on top.”

No director displays love as the driving force of the world quite like Lynch does. All of its triumph and magic but also the pain and sorrow that comes with it. Love is rambunctious and wild and Lynch understands that better than most. God, there really isn’t anyone quite like him. Transcendent in theatres.

I don’t even know how to express how much I love this movie like it’s really something special.  I’ll probably do a big in depth review on my 3rd rewatch soon.

"What makes a man a man? A friend once wondered. Is it his origins? The way he comes to life? I don’t think so. It’s the choices he makes. Not how he starts things, but how he decides to end them.”

The kind of movie that would never be allowed to come out today, and if it did, it wouldn’t be this good. Why don’t we talk about this more as one of the best comic book films? Ron Perlman, you have my whole heart.
